I like the dual-colored Odyssey eyes that some of the KittyCatS have:
I especially like the fact that I don't have to do anything sick and twisted to get them, like make a brother and sister have sex with each other.
The only thing that bugs me about them is the KittyCatS' spelling: Odessey.
I refuse to spell it that way. It hurts my eyes.
(Now watch - someone's going to tell me they're spelled that way because it was the name of someone's dead grandmother or something and then I'm going to feel like the world's biggest non-breedable ass.)

As long as we're on the subject of the extent to which my fifth-grade English teacher might kick my KittyCatS' little kitty booties -- or at least whack their paws with a ruler -- whenever I feed one of mine a bottle of Love5 Vitamins, I get the message "Your kitty eated the whole bottle in one gulp!" - or something similar to that. The key word here is "eated."
NO.
On behalf of all the cats out there with excellent grammar, I protest.
And one more thing!
Just because you own some KittyCatS doesn't mean you are also required to talk baby talk in the group chat.
"Ish good kitty?"
QUIT IT.
(I said that with love though! Yes I did!)
That particular red tabby up there is for sale in Emerald's Magical Cat House. He's got a Mysterious tail and Curious ears. (For those unfamiliar with KittyCatS jargon, those are traits.) Right now I'm selling him for 3500L. Is that too much? I have no clue. If it is, let me know. I get overly excited when my cats give birth to anything besides a Domino or Coco with Earth eyes. At last count, I had 8 million of those.
So yeah, he's a little looker. He speaks excellent grammar too.

ReplyDeleteActually Em, we fixed this in our recent update. Keep in mind too that our developers' first language is not English, ;)
And "Odessey" is misspelled on purpose. It's a stylistic thing. :P
As long as it's not the name of somebody's dead grandmother, it's all good. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh ... I thought the "eated" was related to the classic lolcat "I made you a cookie but I eated it." (http://icanhascheezburger.com/2007/01/15/i-made-you-a-cookie/) I kinda liked it. ;-/
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree - it's cute. I hope I didn't come across as hardcore bashing it. I was a newspaper/magazine editor for 11 years, so my brain can't help it. Also, my I-wish-she-were-my-sister Meara has very kindly educated me on the fact that it was a matter of a language barrier.
ReplyDeleteLolcat speak has always irritated me because my own cats speak the King's English. Who decided that cats have horrible grammar and can only talk baby talk? I just like to be an advocate for intelligent cats. In fact, I want to start an anti-LOLCAT site called MENSAcat. It's a dream of mine. :D
